How did you assemble your T-Slot table ?
I'm planning to buy these one http://fr.misumi-ec.com/eu/ItemDetail/10302261820.html (HSFQN4-15250), ut I'm not sure how to assemble them together, and with the base extrusion (rail where the plates are).

And BTW, what is the long threaded rod made for ? (between the 2 Y axis motor )

Keep up the good mod :)

Hi, I used two extrusion at the bottom these are where the end-plates also attach to https://www.inventables.com/technologie ... -extrusion 500mm. Then I used the insertion nuts https://www.inventables.com/technologies/insertion-nuts the bolts are in the bottom slots of course you need these types (https://www.inventables.com/technologie ... -cap-screw) so they will fit in I used the 12mm length. There are also 5mm holes from the top (20mm from the end) to be able to tight the screws...

in pratice it looks like this:

Update: Added second ball-bearing support for drive shaft, there is no more bending on shaft due to belt tension. Even trying to bend with hand is quite hard to get any visible bending :)

and it looks like this:

so no more of this action :)

Clever idea :)
Do you have any idea why the bearing looks so "not straight" in the shaft holder ?
Almost like the shaft was pushing on it...

Yes I do, the shaft is exactly 5mm diameter same as the bearing bore, if you notice the shaft and the ball-bearing are perpendicular to each other, what is not fully perpendicular to the shaft is the new ball bearing support plate most probably because is not fully tight on one side; never the less I expect it to have some flexibility. The Support doesn't have to be 100% perpendicular to the shaft as long as it supports the ball-bearing everything should be ok. Seriously it should be fine (famous last words) ;).

Hello Again,

Quick update, now I am adding a interface plate for all the x,y,z and a axis steppers, limits sensors, future sensors (have some ideas) and spindle power. The plate is made out of MDF and created pockets for din connectors; very happy with results :D...

wlanfox, your machine is brillant! I aspire to get close as possible to what you have. From the beginning, I am wanted exactly what you have for the table as I have first seen that in another router/cnc called the AnnieRouter. Ever since then after stumbling on the Shapeoko, I was not seeing any pictures of people posting their table tops. Thanks for making your mod and sharing, I need to place my orders immediately. I think I am ready.

Again, thanks for sharing your progress. Really a fantastic build.
