I picked up this driver and have been using it for a few weeks. It came with minimal documentation but it was easy to get up and running. I am using the 4th axis to drive the secondary motor on the Y axis. I will report back if I have any troubles.

Are you using grbl? How are you getting grbl to send the signals for the Y axis to the other driver? Forgive the noob question - it may be easy for all I know, but somehow grbl would need to be aware of it, and the grbl documentation only menions 3 axises...

I am using Mach3 to control my ShapeOko. Mach3 lets you slave an axis to another axis. It made it easy to add the extra Y axis motor. Mach3 is a more expensive option but it works great and I plan to build a larger CNC router in the future and the Mach3 will transfer over.

This looks like a different brand driver using the same chipset as the original poster correct? The one you linked to looks to have a very nice aluminium case!
